Scythe is a richly thematic engine-building strategy game set in an alternate-history version of 1920s Eastern Europe. The war has ended, but tensions remain high as nations compete for power, territory, and resources surrounding the mysterious and powerful city-state known as The Factory.

Each player leads one of five unique factions, each with different abilities, resources, and starting positions. Through careful strategy, players can conquer territories, gather resources, enlist recruits, construct buildings, deploy massive mechs, and strengthen their economies. Every decision builds momentum, creating a personal engine that grows stronger as the game progresses.

Scythe uses a streamlined action-selection system with no rigid rounds or phases, ensuring smooth and engaging gameplay with minimal downtime. While direct conflict is possible, there is no player elimination, so everyone stays involved until the end.
