Port Royal

In Port Royal, players take on the role of merchants in the Caribbean, trying to earn fame and fortune without pushing their luck too far. Each turn, players draw cards from a central deck to create a harbor, revealing ships, crew, expeditions, and tax events. The more you draw, the more options you get—but if two ships of the same type appear, your turn ends and you lose everything from the harbor.

Cards serve multiple purposes. They are used as coins, as well as to represent ships to rob, crew to hire, or expeditions to fulfill. Attack ships to earn coins, hire people for their abilities and influence, and complete expeditions for powerful bonuses. The first player to reach twelve influence points triggers the final round, and the player with the most influence wins.

Originally released as Händler der Karibik, Port Royal includes additional cards for up to five players and allows for new paths to victory beyond completing expeditions. With quick turns, push-your-luck tension, and clever interaction, it's a lively card game full of risk and reward.
