Nightshift
Nightshift
Nightshift is a thematic strategy board game that places players in the role of professional nightclub performers working through a busy evening at an entertainment venue. Inspired by the creator's real life experience in the nightlife industry, the game offers an authentic and respectful perspective while blending resource management, push your luck mechanics, and player interaction into a unique tabletop experience.
Players choose from five distinct performers, each with their own strengths and approach to building relationships with guests. The objective is to earn the most money by attracting the right customers, managing your time efficiently, and making smart decisions throughout the night. Every guest has different preferences, loyalty, spending habits, and potential outcomes, making each interaction a strategic choice.
Using Action Points, players move around the venue to meet new guests, purchase refreshments, and prepare for exclusive private bookings. Different drinks can influence guest behavior, encouraging them to spend more time with you and increasing your earning potential.
Successfully guiding a guest to a private lounge or VIP area unlocks exciting push your luck challenges. Players must carefully balance risk and reward by performing, building rapport, and maximizing earnings without pushing their luck too far.
Throughout the evening, unexpected Full Moon events can change the flow of the game, while scheduled stage performances provide opportunities to earn additional tips and powerful ability cards. These cards add another layer of strategy, allowing players to support one another or compete more aggressively for success.
Combining strong thematic storytelling with engaging gameplay, Nightshift delivers a distinctive strategy experience where careful planning, social interaction, and calculated risks determine who finishes the evening with the greatest earnings.
