Hot Streak

Hot Streak is a loud and chaotic betting game where luck, bluffing, and bold wagers collide on the racetrack. Players cheer, groan, and shout as unpredictable mascot racers sprint, stumble, and sometimes run in completely the wrong direction.

At the start of each race, a deck is prepared using one card for each mascot along with additional random cards based on player count. The revealed betting tickets are drafted by players, first in order and then in reverse order for a second wager. Each bet can be played safely for a modest return or flipped to its risky side for a bigger payout, with the danger of losing money if the pick fails.

Before the race begins, each player secretly adds one card from their hand to the racing deck, subtly influencing the outcome. The deck is shuffled, three cards are burned, and then cards are revealed one at a time to move the mascots along the track. Racers might swerve into other lanes, knock competitors over, reverse direction, surge forward together, or even backtrack unexpectedly. If a mascot runs off the track or is knocked down while already fallen, they are disqualified. The race continues until all four podium positions are filled.

After payouts are resolved, two more races follow with slight adjustments. At the start of races two and three, each player receives a random card before placing new bets and contributing another card to the deck.

Following the third race, players count their winnings. The gambler with the most money at the end claims victory in this wild and unpredictable mascot showdown.
