Dominant Species is a deep, strategic game of survival, adaptation, and prehistoric dominance. Set in 90,000 B.C., a new ice age is approaching, and only the fittest species will endure. Players take on the role of one of six major animal classes: mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, arachnids, or insects, each trying to claim control of a slowly freezing Earth.

Using a worker placement system, players compete to adapt their species, spread across new terrain, and dominate critical regions before the encroaching tundra reshapes the map. Careful action selection, territory control, and long-term planning are key to survival.

Powerful cards add twists to the ecosystem and reward tactical positioning. Whether spreading across deserts or clinging to the last warm jungle, players must balance expansion with defense, adaptation with aggression. The ice age is coming, and only one species can rule the land.
