Diamant

Diamant (also published as Incan Gold) is a fast, fun press-your-luck game of treasure hunting and risk taking.

Players explore dangerous tunnels in search of precious gems by revealing cards from a shared deck. Whenever gems appear, they are divided evenly among all adventurers still exploring, with any leftover gems remaining on the card in the tunnel. Before the next card is revealed, each player must decide whether to continue deeper into the mine or leave and safely stash their treasure.

The danger comes from hazard cards. Scorpions, snakes, poison gas, explosions, and rockfalls lurk in the deck. When the same hazard appears a second time in a round, all explorers still inside lose the gems they collected during that expedition and must flee empty-handed.

The tension builds as players leave the expedition one by one. With fewer adventurers sharing the treasure, the rewards grow larger, tempting the remaining players to push their luck and go deeper.

Later editions also include artifact cards mixed into the deck. When an artifact appears, it stays on the path until someone claims it. If exactly one player leaves the expedition during a turn, they collect both the leftover gems and the artifact, which provides valuable bonus points at the end of the game.
