Codenames

Two rival spymasters know the secret identities of 25 agents. Their teammates know only their codenames — single words like "disease," "Germany," or even "carrot." Yes, carrot. Each spymaster must guide their team to find their agents first, without accidentally revealing the assassin.

In Codenames, two teams compete to contact all of their agents before the other side does. Lay out 25 cards, each bearing a single word. The spymasters have a key card that shows which words belong to which team, which are neutral, and which one is the deadly assassin.

On your turn, the spymaster gives a one-word clue and a number. The clue hints at which words are safe to pick, and the number tells how many words are connected to that clue. Teammates discuss and guess, hoping to uncover their agents. Choose wrong and you might hit the other team's agent or a bystander. Choose the assassin and the game ends instantly.
